Mountville Fire Company No 1 is a 100% volunteer fire department serving the communities of Mountville Borough, parts of West Hempfield Township, and surrounding municipalities. We are always looking for the next generation of volunteers to help serve their community.
Our History & Values
Mountville Fire Company No 1 has been a cornerstone of the Mountville community since its establishment in 1904. For over 100 years, our dedicated and selfless volunteers have served the community with professionalism, integrity, and teamwork. Our mission is to provide the highest level of service to the community by staying up-to-date with the latest training and technology in the fire service industry. We work towards achieving our goal of preventing emergencies through fire safety education and community outreach programs.

Our firefighters are highly trained and equipped with the latest tools and technology to ensure that we can handle any situation that comes our way. We are proud to serve the Mountville community and we are committed to keeping our community safe.

JUNIOR FIREFIGHTER
Students ages 14-17
Junior Firefighters play a crucial role in emergency situations by assisting with tasks such as equipment management, cleanup, and rehabilitation. These young individuals are vital to the fire service, as they not only aid in emergency situations but also observe and learn. Mountville Fire Company provides all necessary equipment and training to support these future firefighters.
ADMINISTRATIVE & SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS
Fire company members play a vital role in managing the business side of things. They can assist with various tasks such as record-keeping, financial management, public education programs, station and equipment maintenance, fundraising, and special community events.
